Where will you find Applecross on Mon, April 18?

On Monday, I will send the SLurl of the flash party location, along with a link to the music stream to listen (out of world) to DJs Solange Simondsen and Lolotehe Menoptra, who will play from 7 to 11 pm SLT. Their music will electrify your experience in this otherworldly sim. I'll post the SLurl to our location, with directions to the party, along with the music stream link on this blog and in the Applecross group on Flickr. On Monday, I'll send the details out in SL...join the Applecross group to get your invite. Can't wait to see you on Monday!

Applecross Flash Party!

Join the Applecross group and keep your eyes peeled here to find out where Monday's party will be happening! (and thank you Darn Darwin for the awesome invite!)

Here's a hint about where the next Applecross party is happening... think sci-fi! On April 18, I'll post the SLurl and a link to the music stream. DJs Solange Simondsen and Lolotehe Menoptra have amazing sets planned. I hope you'll join us!

You know, I really always wanted Applecross to be simple...no signs, no tip jars, or dance balls...just you, me, some great music, and a cool sim.

Sooo, we're going to try a little experiment!

Rather than listen to the djs in-world, on the day of the event, you will receive a link to a web page that will allow you to listen directly from your computer's media player.

This will free us up to go almost anywhere!

In advance of the event, I'll let you know the date and time, the djs, and a little hint about our location. Then on the day of the event, I'll send you a landmark, and a link to the music stream. (I know many of you are well aware of how to listen to music directly from the Shoutcast page, but if this is new territory for you, never fear! It's easy peasy, and I will provide instructions, along with a few free dances, with the party notice.)

On Monday, April 18, DJs Solange Simondsen and Lolotehe Menoptra will play from 7 to 11 pm SLT. More info to follow!

Applecross turns Flash Party! That's the new plan. Pass it on!

p.s. Join the Applecross group in Second Life and/or Flickr, and stay tuned here for the lastest news.

An Excellent Night at the Odyssey!

Another great Applecross! We got creative at the Odyssey Art and Performance Sim, as we danced in the sky with Kong, and listened to an amazing soundtrack by DJs M4sk, Sam, Dox, and Ducky. Have a look at the Applecross group to see all of the event photos! http://www.flickr.com/groups/1258595@N21/

There will be a short break in Applecross events, as real life takes me away from the computer for a bit. Please check back in the fall to see setlists from both the Odyssey and Nevaria events - my apologies for the delay <3

See you all in a few months with an all new Applecross adventure!

Dress up for Applecross at Odyssey!

Feel the art. Be the art!
(alphatribe!)

Applecross at the Odyssey Art and Performance Simulator on Monday, 6 September from 3 to 11 pm SLT

With expanded hours of 3 pm to 11 pm SLT, those of you who are not on SLT will be able to stay up late, or wake up early and still join the party! As usual, we have amazing DJs for you, with M4SK22 Melody, Samara Cioc, Paradox Messmer, and PirateDucky Constantine. (Click on the invite for a closer look!)

Odyssey has long been on my wish list for Applecross...dreaming of merging indie music and contemporary art. My first visit to Odyssey was to see Selavy Oh's beautiful piece, Erasing the Spiral, and I fell in love. Spend some time exploring Odyssey. You'll find works that are thought provoking, interactive, and fun! If you join the Odyssey group, you'll receive notices for artist performances, some of which you can view at http://www.youtube.com/user/OdysseySimulator. Also, check out their blog http://odysseysimulator.blogspot.com to learn more about the artists and events.

Special thanks to Artistic Director Fau Ferdinand and co-Director lizsolo Mathilde for all of their help with the event, and for inviting Applecross to Odyssey.
